That's why we mechanically diamond-grind every slab (instead of acid-etching), test for moisture, and repair cracks, spalls, and pits before a drop of coating goes down. Why not just acid-etch instead of grinding?+
Acid etching is inconsistent and can't handle contamination or profile the slab reliably. Mechanical diamond grinding gives a uniform, coating-ready surface every time — it's the professional standard and the reason our floors don't peel.
Can you fix a floor that a previous coating is peeling off of?+
Usually. We grind off the failed coating, assess and repair the slab, and re-prep it properly before recoating. We'll tell you honestly what it needs at the estimate.
What if my slab has a moisture problem?+
We test for it. If moisture is present, we apply a mitigation primer before coating so vapor can't push the coating off later. Skipping this is a common cause of failure.
